When I lived in the Central Valley of California our weather extremes were
dense fog in the late fall.Winter months and
extreme heat during the summer, factor in some smog and not a pleasant thing to breathe
We now live in Southeast Idaho which is notorious for winds during any given season and of course cold, snowy winters. For some they feel winter last more than half the year, at times I feel it's too short
In comparing both, I'm glad we're where we are. I feel that I can always warm up, but trying to stay cool in those high temps. I used to live in was nearly impossible.
After driving truck for a few years with the husband, I can tell you that
any part of our Nation can have some undetermined weather even by the locals standards.
Twisters are infamous in the mid-west and the south, however it's not uncommon for the entire state of Idaho to have five during the course of year. One year we had five in one day, in
February!
