What I Like About Oregon

I have moved to Oregon and everything is different. Yet, it's the same in any given spot as other places I have seen and visited around the country.
I just wanted to share my good impressions of Oregon - as they occur.
Here's one thing I really like about Oregon:
Right outside of town, on the east, there are several small parks - mostly at different points around Devil's Lake (The "D" Lake) which envelopes around five miles of the eastern Lincoln City border.
There is one park that circles another, smaller lake - and has a 2.5 mile trail thru fairly old-growth forest - right there at the edge of town!
So we can go hike that for a little while - and then drive about 8 blocks down to the Ocean - and hike that beach for miles - all at the very toe of the mighty Pacific!
(Oceans got toes?)
