I just wanted to share my good impressions of Oregon - as they occur.
Here's one thing I really like about Oregon:
Right outside of town, on the east, there are several small parks - mostly at different points around Devil's Lake (The "D" Lake) which envelopes around five miles of the eastern Lincoln City border.
There is one park that circles another, smaller lake - and has a 2.5 mile trail thru fairly old-growth forest - right there at the edge of town!
So we can go hike that for a little while - and then drive about 8 blocks down to the Ocean - and hike that beach for miles - all at the very toe of the mighty Pacific!

Darn Wyody, was just looking at some Satelite photo's of your area. Devil's Lake looks like most of it is private property with only a few entry points for everybody else. Is that the case of is it just hard to tell from the satelite?
Look's like a nice quaint little town though.
