| Re: What I Like About Oregon
Another thing I like about Oregon is that people here seem to have a positive regard for their state.
Everywhere we go, the people are the friendliest of anyplace I have been. Grocery checkers, waitresses, gas-pumpers, retired folks, wave-heads, Folks in the city, folks in the country. Each one will usually begin with "I really love it here".
Oh, I have seen a few complaints in other places online - so I know that not everybody is so satisfied - but I haven't run into anyone here with a real complaint ... except one fellow down in Newport who moved here from Virginia a couple of years ago - he thought the season-changes weren't drastic enough. And another fellow was barking on the sidewalk down in Depoe Bay a couple of weeks ago - irritated about somebody taking a lunch-break while gas prices are so high - one of those fellows that would've been barking no matter which moon was up ... know whut I mean?
