You're totally wrong alligator-breath! Flathead Lake is the largest "non-manmade" lake west of the Mississippi. The dam at the outlet at Polson was built in the early 1900's to generate power and has no effect on the lake other than to allow to keep it at "full pool". The dam you may be thinking of is "Hungry Horse", on the South fork of the Flathead River which is also a hydroelectric which formed Hungry Horse Reservoir. Go back to the research books.
