I live in Western Colorado in the Grand Junction area. I've lived in Colorado for 10 years now, with one year back East as my husband was in a doctoral program in PA.

I've lived in the Front Range, Elbert County and worked for Douglas County Elections.

We then moved to the San Luis Valley where my husband was a teacher at Alamosa High School, after 3 years we moved to PA and then back to the valley within a year. I have a special affinity for the South San Juan mountains. It's a beautiful area and not highly populated.

We moved from the San Luis Valley last a year and a half ago to the Grand Junction area. It's beautiful here and the drive to Telluride and Aspen isn't too far either. There is a ski area within an hours drive called Powderhorn.

I have a special love of Eastern Utah and Arches National Park which is another frequent day trip of ours.

In the next couple of years we hope to be moving to a resort town. We are looking at Steamboat, Estes, Aspen, Ouray...

I love Colorado and the West in general. I cannot ever imagine living back in the D.C. area where I grew up.
