seriously. i grew up in san antonio... moved to corpus christi for 2 years with the navy and the humidity was even worse down there by the water. mosquitos the size of armadillos! (which are extremely mean and nasty critters!)
most of my extended family is still in houston... another WONDERFUL place! but congested.
have many friends in dallas that love it there. it's the high society city... but still damn hot. big city congestion, too.
i sound like i'm brow beating my home state - i swear i'm not trying to. i just can't get past the tortuous heat. november to april it's a wonderful place to be! :D
but hands down, san antonio has got the best eats anywhere! everytime i go 'home' i gain at least 10 pounds. for real!
