I know it's an old thread, but..... I was fortunate enough to be able to stop and stay in Tenn. Only for a night. But we found nothing dangerouse about being there. Course, we didn't hike. We just stopped in an RV park, enjoyed the evening, and we left in the morning. That was 2 or 3 times ago. Never found anything to be afraid of. Other then gas prices. haha
