I guess it really depends on what you'll be doing while in Texas. Obviously, you'll be fine if you stay inside where is air-conditioned, but everyone's tolerance level is different. If you'll be outside a lot, it's not bad unless you're doing strenuous activities in the mid-afternoon heat.
Texas is hot, but by no means unbearable. I'm telling you from a Minnesotan's point of view...if I can handle it, anyone should be able to! Now, Louisiana is a whole 'nother story: HOT, 95% HUMIDITY AND NO BREEZE.
That was a bit miserable for me.
