Where are you setting your first sights?
Still debating where to try next.

Well, after living in both Charlotte and Jacksonville, as well as visiting multiple other southeast cities, I think I am ruling out Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virgina. I am looking for lower crime rates, higher pay rates, and cheaper housing than Florida. Maybe around a 15-30 minute drive outside a major city in an area that is not ruled by homeowners' associations.

Her office was hit at the pentagon .apparently she wasn’t in it at the time.
Lawton is too far from a major city for me, 86 miles to Oklahoma City.

I have considered Texas a little, but I am afraid of it being something like a cross between North Carolina and Florida. Seattle is also a consideration, but the cost of living there seems high, I might have to research it more though. I don't think I will even consider South Carolina at this point.
