The rental truck packet didn't include this info and neither did my road atlas and my memory did not serve me well. I was lucky as I entered the state between storms in February.
Okay, color me a huge dork! I could have given you that advise considering how many times we went over there in the truck. I had seen where PDX gave the cautions on not taking back roads and sticking to the passes by day. I'm glad you made it, however I should probably go and stand in the corner.
