Cleozmom... I believe Bonnie Raitt recorded that song and she is a country artist

Wyody that is what I do... I turn away so I can really hear them sing and always thought Sanjaya pretty much sucked... out of all the people left I feel he didn't deserve to be there anymore.

MyAzi, I guess I should say I don't consider Bonnie Raitt being of country genre as she's always been classified by any stations I had worked with as more of a blues singer-songwriter. Either way, Sanjaya was way off the mark.

I did that a lot last year - which was the first year I've watched more than two shows. Helps get me over the kids who don't really look the part.
And Sanjaya never deserved to be there at all imo - just think he was getting better like several of them do after a few weeks.
BTW, Mandesa's album supposedly came out very recently ... or is. The girl had a great voice - anybody heard it?
Regarding Bonnie Raitt, I think she was not quite classifiable for the first several years - and then followed in her Dad's footsteps and is more of a blues artist of some sort. Funny, her first album broke the same time as Bonnie Tyler's (It's a Heartache) ... I picked Tyler to succeed and Raitt to disappear. I'm still getting over being wrong!

I was watching an interview at some unGodly hour of the night some time back. And she was on. She said something to the effect of her being a country singer etc...

since I am not a counrty fan, I am not going to argue a point. I was just under the impression because of what I heard her say... she was a country artist.

In any case Wooooowhoooooo for Sanjaya being gone!!!
