| Is it true that the government of the state of Alaska pays a female to move there...?
...because of the higher population rate of males, and if so how much do they pay them? Has anyone heard of this, it sounds too crazy to be true.

No. You get no bonus for being female. *Everyone*, however, who's lived there long enough (about a year) is eligible for the PFD, or permanent fund dividend, which varies from year to year. The 2007 Dividend Amount was $1654.00. Check out https://www.pfd.state.ak.us/
