Help! Bipolar and want to move to Alaska.?

I need peoples advice. I am Bipolar and want to move to Alaska in a year. I figuare I can save $8000, sell my furniture and drive up there and start a new life. One where no one nows about my mental state. I told my one friend and she says that I am not going to do it. I don't want to tell anyone else, because I know they will say that I need to take my meds and that it is a bad decision. I guess they would say this because last week I wanted another dog and two weeks ago I wanted a scooter. Plus I can't stay off the internet at work. I just feel the need to search for things, stuff all the time. I feel like a merry go round. Should I go? Should I wait? I think a year is enough time to really figure out if it is a good idea or not.

I used to live there and was called bipolar as well. You don't need no friggen meds. It is a crock. Alaska is a real good place. Jobs can be hard to find though. It really depends on where you live. It is a real safe place to live. But don't act crazy or anything cause they lock you up in the mental ward faster than anywhere else. They actually make money off of doing this. Personally I would go. It is a great place. But the dark winters and bright nights of summer can wack you out for the first couple of years. Just do not drink or do drugs up there as trhere are a lot of drugs and stuff. I wish you luck.
