...my things? flat rate box? I am moving to Alaska for six months for a job. Any suggestions on the best way or the cheapest way to send my things? Mail it? Flat rate boxes? I will need to ship my clothes, blankets, bed sheets, etc...

Pack it in your vehicle and drive or just buy new there if it is only sheets, blankets, and clothes.
