The best way to move to Fairbanks,Alaska from the Puget Sound area?

10 points for best answer!Please provide answers to the QUESTIONS I asked!

So I have some years left of school 'till college and I visited Fairbanks,Alaska ( I have family up there) and I LOVED IT! I mean I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! Even though it's a small town.I want to go to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for college and live there.So I'll be 18 when college comes.So my question is what is the best way to move to Fairbanks,Alaska from the Puget Sound area?I do have family up there and like what is the cost of living and I could possibly live with my family up there.What about apartments/dorms...??

There is an inland train that runs up from Vancouver BC. Or a cruise ship. I have a friend that takes the cruise up and train back every couple years. Train is mostly glass top so you can get awsome pictures. Cruise ship stay mainly in inner coastly waterways so again, lots of pics.
