There is snow on the hills near valley springs.

Looking out our big picture window towards the hills this morning...I see snow. Usually doesn't come down that far. Pretty out. Half cloudy skies, green yard, and white hills. What a view. Last day of Feb. the flowers are blooming in the yard. Winter on the hills...spring in the yard.

Sounds real nice Izzy. Wonder where you are. We've been having a skiff of snow/sleet/hail around here - not sticking on the view, though. Much more enjoyable when it's not a regular thing. Enjoy. Happy March! Hope you have your leprechaun-trap all set-up - they're in season.

I'm in Valley Springs, California. Also called gold country or Sierra foothills. Terrain is mostly green hills and oak trees in winter/spring. Brown hills in the summer/fall. We are about 500 ft. above sea level. We, on the rare occasion, see snow on the top of nearby hills. Even snow in our yard once. My hubby drove to Jackson this morning to work. He says there is snow everywhere up there. About a half hour from our place. He also said there is Snow in San Andreas...which is about 15 minutes from here. Maybe I take the kids to play in it after school.

For now I will bake some pumpkin bread with raisins, to warm up the house.:)

I kind of like the winters. Heck, I haven't had to mow the lawn since July of last year.

Been gone two minutes and already don't wear a coat. That's what I'm talking about. Turncoat.

We have already started mowing the yard. Between rain storms. Things warmed up for a couple of days...long enough for things to start blossoming... then it got really cold again.

Wyody where are you at? Is it Florida? 53...what I remember about Wyoming is the wind...no trees to stop it.:) Do you get wind where you are?

Those are beautiful pictures... I sometimes forget how beautiful some parts of CA are. I also hear it is snowing in Napa.... there goes the price of CA wine!!!

We have been getting snowfall all morning up here in Wa and it isn't sticking... And am hoping it doesn't. Snow and ice on these roads is treacherous.

We get very little wind here in Sheridan. I'd say 1 day in 10 we might hit 20 mph winds. But Sheridan is up against the Big Horn mountains and it protects us pretty well.

Did I hear someone say snow, well we finely got some last Saturday about 11”
An there forecasting 10 to 18 again so we will probably get 1 to 6 . now we can at least get the snowmobiles out.

George...last time we chatted you didn't have any...all you needed to do was wash the snow mobiles...then it snows. Kinda like...wash the car and it will rain for sure.:) Enjoy your snowmobile ride:)

Azi...yes it is beautiful but cold here. Most folks don't connect cold with california...but we get our share. Didn't know about napa. Mom said it was going to snow last night in Clear Lake, Ca.

53...you are lucky to be against the mountains. I remember the wind being so cold in wyoming.

Spring has sprung here in Valley Springs. We are in full spring weather. The most beautiful time of year here. I will try to get some pictures taken.

My little one says Mr. Sunshine is up mommy.:)

I am looking forward to photos as well!!!! I just noticed today after being out of town for the past week... that I have buds on my apple trees!!! And the rose bushes are perking up!!! Spring is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't gotten close to the fruit trees yet. Still too much snow on the lawn.
The big trees do have nice fat buds though.
