| Looking for campground up Hwy 88
I'm looking for a family camp spot this summer up hwy 88 from Jackson, California. Any ideas. I've been seaching on line but it looks like I will have to just take a drive up and look around. Has anyone noticed that campgrounds are filling up on the reservation list pretty far in advance. The state parks are allowing folks to book 7 months in advance. That means if you want a spot for the summer you better book it in Jan - Feb. Well if anyone knows of a private park on Hwy 88 let me know. I want something in the pine trees, bathroom/ shower, water. Hopefully no bear issues.:) Remember we have little ones. Izzy

Actually I found a couple of really nice ones this summer. PiPi up 88 but there are no showers:) Beautiful though. I posted some pics of it here. Just do a search on Pipi. Also there is Lake Pardee. No swimming in the lake but they have all the extras for kids. Swimming pools, snack bar, nice big camp spots in campground 2. Not very crowded. Rolling hills and oak trees around the lake. We rented a Platoon (sp) boat for the day and that was fun. $20. a night. Izzy
