Where is a good town to move into in Sacramento?

I am considering a positino in Elk Grove and possibly looking at that area. Is there other nearby towns that are safe,nice? Are there towns to avoid?

I just moved to Sacramento a month ago and I mentioned Elk Grove and the response I got was, "GHETTO!"

So I moved to the Natomas area and I really like it. For me the rent is cheap for a nice place. $1500 for a 3 bedroom house with garbage and sewer paid for. I live on rick heinrich circle so check it out.

Roseville and Rancho Cordova are nice. I love Rancho Cordova because it has a fabulous park and a great multi-purpose trail.
