I am moving to California in a couple months. Can anyone give me advice-- live in...

...Ojai or Ventura? I prefer sm. town or rural atmosphere... but have 3 teenagers who love the ocean and being close to things. How is the crime rate & schools? Any input will be greatly appreciated!!

Ojai is definitely more small-town and rural ~ a really LOVELY place to live. And Ventura (which is also a wonderful place, but much larger) is not that far from Ojai. When I lived there ~ never mind how long ago that was :-) ~ we would drive on down to Ventura whenever we wanted.

Ojai is more remote and probably more of the small-town feel. Ventura has a very relaxed feel and a fun, small downtown area that your teens would love. i lived in an apartment there where i had a view of the ocean and it was very peaceful after a long day at work. Ojai is quieter I would say but gets more tourists. Not sure what there is to do up there for teens...sorry i don't know the crime rates but i'm sure you could search it on google.
