LOS ANGELES-An elevator mechanic at Los Angeles International
Airport has been charged with smuggling illegal immigrants into
the country by helping them evade federal inspectors and
ushering them into taxis outside a terminal.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Virginia
Kice says 53-year-old Roberto Amaya Canchola was indicted by a
federal grand jury Friday on three counts of making money off
immigrant smuggling and three counts of helping passengers skirt
immigration officers.

Canchola was arrested last month by federal immigration agents
in a sting operation. Agents say they believe Canchola was using
his airport security clearance to escort Mexicana Airlines
passengers out of the terminal without being inspected by
authorities.

well, in a lightening yet flimsy defense of the possibilities, Arlo did have to mispronounce Los Angeleez to make the rhyme fit ... artistic-license, I suppose.
Here's a couple of possibilities, if I can get that far:
"Flying into Los Angelintz - bringing in some new immigrantz"
"Flying into LAX - bringing in a shipment of Mex"
"Landing at Los Angelitos - Sneaking in Manuels and Carlitos"

<sigh> I miss the old days ... with a whole book of yellow-pages!
Although some will debate the issue, I thought it was pretty cool when such toys and gimmicks were only for the mild-mannered pot-heads.
Then, the masses tired of simple relief and got "gratification-nuts".

In '69, the hardest thing happening was Richie Havens hammering on his guitbox to "Freedom".
My generation simply woke up.
Most all of the following generations woke up totally p.o.'d!
And that is why we need more immigrantz at LAX.
