Do I need a car to move around in Aspen?

There are 4 different mountains, right? is it easy to move around or do I need to rent a car?
Why would I need it? There are 4 mountains, is it easy to walk around or take a bus?

Re: Do I need a car to move around in Aspen?

I would highly recommend having a car. Western states really don't have the buss' and taxy's that Eastern states have. We tend to be on our own out here so public transportation doesn't exist like it should.

You don't need one in winter season. there's free bus service between the four mountains in ski hours and it cost $3 off this hours.

I'm serious. you don't need one
you might need one if you're planning to go at summer time.

"Insider’s Tip: If you have a are planning on using the bus system extensively, then purchase a multiple punch pass, available from several local merchants. They cost less per ride than paying as you go. Taxi and limousine service is also readily available. Parking can be problematic in Aspen, but you don't need a car here!"
