...at the Children's Hospital in Auror I've been offered a job at the Children's Hospital in Aurora. I understand Aurora isn't the best place to rent, but I don't want to be too far away from where I'm going to be working. Any suggestions as to good locations or complexes in the area? I'm willing to travel, but hopefully less than a half-hour drive. I don't really know much about Denver, I'm currently living in Buffalo, NY. Please help!

Re: I'm going to be moving to Denver in a few months. I've been offered a job...

Sorry nobody from there has posted yet.

I don't know Aurora too well and haven't lived in the metro area for about 8 years.

My brother used to live in Parker near Parker road just south of Arapahoe and it was nice; right along Cherry Creek.

I'm hearing good things about Aurora, especially in the southern parts. It has a bad rap from people who judge it by it's sprawl, but it seems like a place you should visit yourself. It's a tad bit from the mountains, but those areas along E-470 are starting to look pretty nice, with good shopping and pretty good schools. A lot of people will argue that the Cherry Creek schools are the best, but who can afford that? Some can, and they're very vocal.

Hopefully there'll be more responses to this from people who live there. That's gonna be your best perspective of the area for people in your situtation.

If you live in Saudi Aurora (see what I mean?), you're not too aweful far from Denver and the mountains.

Good luck and welcome to TalkStates!
