Altitude adjustment

When the seahawks used to play the bronco's there was alway the talk about the altitiude adjustment, especially seeing that Kingdome (now quest field) is at an altitude of a towering 13'.

Are there issues when you travel with adjustments to altitude? Do you feel any different living at that altitude?

The elevation in warsaw poland is only 300' so I think markablue moderator would have trouble adjusting to change.

Re: Altitude adjustment

Ya know, I went from sea level to 4500 feet above and I've had no issues. When my sister and niece came for a visit a few years back, neither had to even use their inhalers.

However, none of us play the gridiron

I have experienced "altitude sickness" a couple of times. Never from just passing through.
It's common to move to an area and pick up a "gambue" that lasts a couple of weeks - from the water or the humidity or even the air. Altitude can affect you.
After living out here in the Rockies for nearly 30 years, I never had a problem visiting back east or out west and coming back ... until the last time. I'd been in Ohio for 17 months. It took me a heckuva long time to readjust this time - don't know if it's age or what. Tire quickly, panting for breath, weaker, an actual pain in the lungs. Occasionally, someone is ordered by their doctor to move to a lower elevation.
I've also been affected sometimes by going from my present 7000ft to 11000ft for extended periods ... but only a couple of times out of a thousand - don't know what brings it on.
