Wendy... Yes, you are right on the money there. Although, I do try not to flinch to badly I do not expect others to consider that when debating. If it gets to hot for me, I will go to another thread or log off...or go visit c-d But when I'm just cruising a long having a nice chat, or a civil debate and someone gets right in my face, really ugly, and I'm not expecting it, it knocks me off balance for a bit. I do expect folks to be civil, the same kind of civil that you would have in person. Just common sense to me. Don't understand why anyone would do it differently. But I have been tempted to jump back, draw a line in the sand, a bull in the china shop response...take the gloves off and wade in You just don't know the exercise in patience...the lord is teaching me Along with all those good feelings comes a red headed temper that I have learned over the years..just gets me in trouble. Always gets me in trouble So I breathe, and move on to another thread most of the time. Some folks see that as being "fragile". They just don't know both sides of me. I do my best to be civil here and respect the admin and reps. I also feel I have made some friends here...some forum buddies, so to speak. I do think unless the ugliness goes away...and we all know what I'm talking about...this forum will not earn the respect of those who come here seeking info. and civil conversation/ debate. They will look, read, and move on to another site. They will vote with their feet. Well got to go. The test is right on as far as I'm concerned. Izzy

Only my hairdresser would know, and he died a looooooong time about (with most of my hair) I did this at one of my companies "group hug" meetings and got about the same result, but as we saw the results by other people, there were quite a few snickers when we saw some of the results... liars one and all!

dufferz, you gave your numbers, but not whether they are I/E, N/S, T/F or J/P. Please give your type, since the numbers aren't usable, without the type. As for my beloved husband, he is an INTJ "Scientist"...not too surprising, since he actually is a scientist, as am I. Wendy |

<I do expect folks to be civil, the same kind of civil that you would have in person. Just common sense to me. Don't understand why anyone would do it differently.> I agree with you, 100%. If I wouldn't invite a person into my home, for tea or dinner, I won't spend any time with them, conversing on a computer. Wendy |

I took this test for an employer in 1993 and I was a ENFJ I have changed a lot since then. My better half just took the test and now he is an ENFJ and I'm the opposite. | |

<I took this test for an employer in 1993 and I was a ENFJ I have changed a lot since then.> You changed from an ENFJ to an ISTP, to the exact opposite, of your earlier personality, in just 14 years? Wow! Do you think that the test was wrong? Or, did you really change that much? (Or, am I just missing a subtle joke?) Wendy |

< You want a true test? Have your spouse or significant other answer the questions for you! see what the difference is.> I actually did ask my co-workers to fill in the questionnaire, of a personality test, about me, when I was in my late 20s. To my amazement, they all saw me as being more aggressive, and less friendly, than I saw myself. Yes, I always focused, with laser-like intensity, on my work, but I didn't realize that my lack of socializing would come off as off-putting...I thought I was just doing my job. According to that particular personality test, my colleagues perceived me as "Results-Oriented," a rather driven, insensitive personality. As a result of this feedback, I decided to invest at least 15 minutes per day, in socializing with my co-workers. Yes, my socializing was "results-oriented" -- the result that I wanted was smoother working relationships, so I could do my job better. It was a little unnatural, at first, because I tried to follow the Dale Carnegie rule: Develop a deep and sincere interest in other people. Over time, I could see that the effort was working. In terms of the Myers-Briggs test, I determined that I ought to move more from the introverted to the extroverted personality. After 25 years of effort, I believe that I have become significantly more friendly, sociable, and extroverted...all career-enhancing, when I moved out of the lab, and into sales, marketing, and project management. Now that I am retired, I enjoy interaction, for its own sake. However, if you gave me a job to do, I would go into hyperdrive, as I always did...with just enough socializing to grease the wheels :-). As for my spouse...I think he would say that I'm gentle and accommodating, except for when he inadvertently threw me into hyperdrive, by saying he wanted to move to WA ;-). Wendy |

Wyody, your score is just a whisker away from being an INTJ (your E score is only 1). So, if the ENTJ personality looks wrong, take a look at the INTJ. I don't know you well (hardly at all), but you don't strike me as an ENTJ. Wendy |

Hey, I'm okay with it for now - til I see the graph, anyway. Notice I seem to have a lot in common with JenBar and Wyoming 53. Maybe I'd better just retake that sucker - I mean - I tried to do it quickly and automatically - but still think I lied a little bit!

OK, just took the test again and got a completely different result. Your Type is ISFP Introverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving 33 1 12 56 moderately expressed introvert slightly expressed sensing personality slightly expressed feeling personality moderately expressed perceiving personality So, now the challenge to anyone is, take it again and see if your results change. I don't think I answered anything differently, but maybe I did not read a couple of questions the same the 2nd time around??
