Think Idol is fixed? Sanjaya is still around!

Come on now, I was shocked last night to see that that kid didn't go once again.
First off, Sundance was great and shouldn't have gone. I know that Melinda is probably going to win anyway, but I think Sanjaya has all his family and ancestors voting for him.
What is up with that?

did you not hear? Howard Stern (not Nicoles Howard..the radio guy) has launched a campaign to make sure Sanjaya wins! He has a large following.. I wonder if he can pull it off.

There is this guy selling T-shirts with STOP CALLING on them with Sanjaya's picture on it.

No wonder...how many Americans will be like lemmings and follow Stern off the cliff? I know he's popular, but that's so sad! I think Melinda has a good chance of winning, but I love Blake's talent and creativity and Jordin has REALLY impressed me the last two weeks.

When I first saw this Sanjaya kid, I says to myself ... I says, "Here's a Michael Jackson near-look-alike and all the little girls are gonna be picking up their phones! Dang kid can't sing, can't act, can't shave ... Gad! Will probably win".
Must remember that last year, a mess of little ol' ladies kept a couple people in that almost won.
It's all about public tastes and we must face it, not everybody is a musician; not everybody knows what's right and wrong with a performer - they just know what they like and so, we end up with things like last year - when that Pickler girl stayed in the running too long - or that girl that took second that should never have been in the top 500! Or even the case of Taylor Hicks - who wasn't the best singer but worked his patootie off and became the best entertainer and really sucked-up to the mainstream. Lots of folks kinda upset when that Doughtry fella got voted off - and he probably was the best singer and really showed talent on some older songs but never quite went mainstream enough. Best news - Elliott got his teeth fixed!
Poor Melinda Doolittle shouldn't even be in this competition. She so outclasses and outsings everyone that she should already have her own albums ... but the voting is what counts - and we folks is weird!

And Wyody... why does it make me nervous that you think good news is Elliott got his teeth fixed when you mentioned Pickler and not her new boobs!!!

Shucks, I didn't know Pickles got new boobs! I did see her a couple of shows ago - and felt really conflicted. She looked horrible - like hollywood had done a Nasville tribute to somebody and cast her in the part - but she did manage to sing on-key for the first that I've heard.
I remember seeing Bucky with his new teeeeff now that you mention it - wonder if they've taught him to sing by now?? We'll probably find out before too long.
I'll take a moment off-topic and mention that Fantasia person. I didn't see Idol that year - had no idea who or what a Fantasia was - and they had her on several shows ago - and dang, did she dynamite the joint or what!?
(Oh, in case you wonder, I don't look at boobs no mo' - that's what got me in so much trouble thru the first halfo my life!) I is now ofishually boob-blind!

Bah-zooms...indeed...and she looked beautiful! I agree...I thought Pickles wasn't nearly as cute as she had been and looked as though she had aged about 20 years. I was actually really bored when she sang, not impressed at all. I'm looking forward to Jon Bon Jovi helping the American Idol peeps. He has a GREAT....voice.

What I thought was funny was when Ryan asked Pickler if she bought anything with all the money she was making and she said "shoes." Ryan looked right at her boobs and said something to the effect of "anything else?" We rolled with laughter in this house.

As for Fantasia.. I liked her on the show but don't think I would buy any of her music. Nor would I buy Melinda Doolittles but she has an amazing voice. NOW Blake... I like his voice but more so he entertains. I like watching and listening to him.

I think that's what's difficult...I know some of them have awesome voices, but I would never want to listen to them on a cd. I'm very particular when it comes to music...no rhyme or reason, but I know what I like. I love Blake because he has kind of a mixture of Sting and U2...with his own style. I'm still in shock that Chris Daughtry was kicked off last season...he was the best...no doubt.

Kelly Pickler is the epitome of 'blonde'. She has a very sweet personality, but a few fries short of a happy meal, in my opinion.

1. I'm dense sometimes. Astute at others. My astute is barely there. My dense is like concrete.
2. I wouldn't buy any of their CD's. None of 'em. Zilch, Squat, Uh-Uh.
I only buy two things on CD. Dylan and Native American music, maybe some Ray Charles or Temptations. Shoot, I've worked on a few people's albums ... back when they were really called albums - and I never even took a demo home! Well, I do have one band's album - girl had a helluva voice - but ... where is it? .... ah, here it us, right under Ray Charles.

I dont watch Idol.. I find it very stupid. But if your enjoying it, thats good. I dont know who your talking about at all.. well I kinda do, the news last night had a story on why that guy was still on, and they showed some little blonde girl crying as some gay looking guy, at least I think it was a guy.. walked off the stage and touched her face.

The "gay looking guy" you mention was the now infamous Sanjaya.

I'm not clear on all the guys' names. There are two who look okay and perform pretty well. Then, there's one who I think sings even better - but he seems to be ... mirrorly challenged.
I don't know any of the gals' names - except Melinda Doolittle.
For me, except for her, I've been hard-pressed to be impressed with this year's crop ... but except for last year, I'd only seen a very few shows over the years.

Sanjaya does look a bit femine. He did the hoola in front of millions of people.
Whats up with that? He does remind me of Michael Jackson. He has a wonderful smile but can't sing a note. The little girl was adorable and I knew the media would make a big deal about her. Letterman had clips of her from Idol last night.
