Rosie and the View

I don't get to watch the whole program...but lately have been catching the high lights on the news about the...O'Donnell, O'Reilly, O'Feud.

I know Rosie can be over the top sometimes...don't agree with a lot of things she says...but I like her most days. She is up front and says what she thinks...regardless of the consequences. Now the tower, thing that is out there...even for Rosie. But I do feel she was right on about Trump. When I viewed him forgiving the beauty queen...I thought..."folks in glass houses"...The guy really rubbed strong women everywhere with that little display.

I don't care much for O'Reilly...can't quite put my finger on it...but he seems to be puffed up and a bit narrow minded. Likes to debate...just to debate. I think while he is pointing fingers at Rosie...he should take a look at his own show. How many episodes of Anna Nicole did we have to watch on his show. Come on...I barely knew the ladies name until he made her the prime time news story...for day...after day...after day. Also when that boy was kidnaped and both the boys were found in that guys home...O'Reilly really picked away at why the older boy stayed for so long. Really thought he was out of bounds on that one. After all we're talking about a kid.

Anyone else with a view?

Re: Rosie and the View

Dont watch the view, if I wanted to be subjected to FEMANAZI's I guess I would. - gotta love RUSH for coining that term..heh. The problem is Rosie is often wrong, or just off the wall with her statements.. she is a bafoon. She seems to need the attention.. she is an attention whore. I dont give her any credit for anything she says.. The Same for O'Rielly.. If Rosey was not gay, I think they would be meant for one another.. they could sit in the living room and bitch at one another and be happy for the rest of thier lives.

Re: Rosie and the View

The biggest problem that I see with 'The View' is that Rosie is so aggressive and domineering...no one else really has a chance to tell a DIFFERENT view...which is what I thought that show was about. I've watched it a couple of times, but I really preferred Meredith to Rosie...by a landslide.

Bill O'Reilly is only human, and like Rosie and whomever else makes mistakes. I do like the fact that he interviews whoever will come on his show, unlike some others. One of my favorites was when Whoopi Goldberg was on and they had an incredibly civil, humorous and interesting conversation which I really enjoyed and they almost seemed like friends, regardless of their opposing views. That's what I like to watch. Just my thoughts.

Re: Rosie and the View

Here's the thing, as I see it;
Rosie is normal. If I were to walk into a living-room, rec-room or bar anywhere in America, I would expect to see up to one Rosie per room. Irritating, annoying, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, sometimes over the top, sometimes misinformed, sometimes on a rant, sometimes on a wild beast.
(And there, my friends, is my personal history of married life).
In other words, normal.
Bill O'Reilly; if I were perhaps stopping in a Howard Johnson's Lounge during a quick stop-over for a piece of pie ... and saw a meeting I definitely did not want to be a part of, there would be Bill - sitting near a corner absorbed and self-absorbed, certainly not about to go start a conversation with anyone but waiting .... waiting .... waiting for somebody to come over and make his day so he could sit and anonymously toot his own horn about how much he knew - then perhaps leer at a waitress walking by with a button mistakenly left open. Not normal - except for "on-the-road" pervs.
Just my take on it - Bill is not somebody I'd want around. Rosie, I wouldn't be able to run off.
Double Irish on the rocks, please.
(Ow ... Ow ... somebody call it in - my wife is beating me)

Re: Rosie and the View

I called the Portland PD, said there was a man on a forum said he wife is beating him and to send help.. They said iSir do you have his Address.. I said no.. I said he is on the TALKSTATES.com Forum right now.. maybe you can get a trace.. They Said ok sir just a second.. They came back in like 2 mins and said SIR, is his name WYODY.. I said yes thats the man.. they said.. No worries sir, The FBI is watching him.. he is a suspected terrorist.. he has been tuning into a known web site for Terrorist news. So dont worry if she gets to violent the FBI will intercede and take them into custody. So your all good WYODY.. no worries man, your covered.

I think your letting your Hate for Billy Boy, cloud your judgement there some Wyody.. Rosie is far from normal.. And I see little differance between the two of them. They are both attention whores, they are both cross, and try to come off witty. They both cant wait to tell you how it is, even when they have no clue. Rosie is a trouble maker a mile wide.. and Bill accepts all challenges, like his 2 pound chip cant be knocked off his frail frame. But anyways.. I do like your sumation.. Bill is not somebody I'd want around. Rosie, I wouldn't be able to run off.

Okay, gotta be honest. I haven't seen The View with Rosie on it. In fact, I've rarely seen the View - any man who wanders into a room with more than one woman in it is being unwise or just asking for trouble.
I've also never shared a drink with Bill. Perhaps I've just missed it but I've never watched him tear down somebody that I, personally, wanted to see torn down.
So, I'm formucating opinions in an unqualified way, to be even more honest.
Tell you what I'll do. I'll keep my opinions and just announce that as you read most things of mine that broadcast an opinion, go grab your biggest grain of salt - and take my schloch with a big grain of salt.
However, I will stand by my opinions 'til they crumble to the dust they're created from. Mostly 'cause I'm stubborn ... stubborn but a really nice guy!
Perhaps if Bill would wear a Sanjaya wig??

Re: Rosie and the View

Okay guys, I like the twist on this subject. I agree with Wyody on his take of Rosie. She is normal because of her flaws. Which makes her more like the rest of us. Bill looks more approachable with the wig. The guy just seems wrapped to tight to be comfortable around. Rosie...if you made a mistake in front of her she would laugh, make a joke out of it, and then give you a hug. Bill ain't hugging nobody:)

Yes, Wyody never walk into a room full of women...if you can help it:)

Izzy, thank you for making this understandable - my soft-point exactly.

Pan, I can't believe you man. Just when I think My day is shot, you give me something irreplaceable and unspeakably genuine! Dude! U S D Cracker!
Now that somebody put hair on that monkey, I think I know him!! Was this for real? (the fake hair, that is). Looks just like somebody I woulda shared a stage with back around, oh ... lessee ... last century, very late 60's (long about 74). All of a sudden, I like Bill! Gotta get that hug!

Re: Rosie and the View

Yes...I definitely think Bill looks more approachable with the Sanjaya hair!

Does anyone remember when Bill Maher was booted off with his Politically Incorrect show because of his off-the-beaten-path comments? I believe that was ABC, also. I'm pretty sure that didn't fly because it was so soon after 9-11.

I don't have a problem with Rosie and her views, as long as she gives the other ladies a chance to respond. What bothered me most was when Rosie was voicing her opinion about this subject and then told Elizabeth to stop 'blathering on'. A little ironic, in my opinion.

I am also amazed at how callous Rosie is towards the British hostage situation. She seems to believe that Britain set all this up. From what I understand, there was a GPS system on the British ship that verified its location in Iraqi waters. If, in fact, the ship was in Iranian waters, isn't it against the Geneva Convention to take hostages?

One of the best things about America is that no one is forced to watch Rosie, Bill or anyone else, for that matter.
