Store Art work...HELP!

I have a painting to store. This is a painting of my son when he was 3 and my prized possession. I don't want it ruined. I have searched online on how to store it and can't find anything. Can anyone give me some advice?

Not sure how long it will be in storage but the unit is climate controlled.

Thanks but that didn't exactly tell me how to store a already framed painting. I tell you I have searched and can't find much of anything.

Is the painting on canvas? What kind of paint? Tell me everything you know about the painting, aside from who is on it. LOL

Check this out , Preservation tips for different Materials. About 1/4 down the page. Link is http://tweed.lib.ed.ac.uk/audit/web/...ion%20tips.pdf That should help short of screening it.

Sorry!!! That linked helped! Thank you. The painting is oils and on canvas. I will go to an art supply store and see what I can find as far as acid free boxes. Or maybe they can pack it for me for a (hopefully small) fee.
