You're right, Cuban...but that would be too easy...I like to make things as difficult as possible.

The borders are extremely important to me, also...and I feel the same way about global warming. Too many conflicting reports.

I am one of those that believe something is happening but know there is no scientific evidence that Say's we are the cause of it. Because it is happening I believe we should be redirecting our energy on ways to prepare
us for what might happen. Besides as much as I don't agree with the liberal point of you I do believe in pollution and so what if they are totally wrong in why they want to stop global warming at least we will be able to breath a little bit easer with some of there policies. I did say some of there policies right?

Yes, I heard someone speak about global warming about a month ago. He said that the earth goes through changes about every 1500 (?) years or so, regardless of what anyone does. I agree, it would be beneficial to quit polluting our air, land and sea so much, but the big picture is really out of our control.

Speaking of pollution, after going through Phoenix and Vegas, I was really impressed with how clean San Antonio still is. Seemed to be much less garbage on the streets. I just love that city.

Here's two words for you: Immanuel Velakovsky.

This enlightened genius wrote several books ... by accident ... in the 30's and 40's. All have eerily proven themselves out.
Here's a synopsis of one of his presentations:
Earth warms - from whatever cause. Polar caps melt. Water flows towards the equator. Balance of weight on the Earth changes. Earth rolls back on it's "other" axis. Mexico City lands just about where Las Vegas is now. Las Vegas lands just about where Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is now.
Tidal Waves, resultant earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis.
Get your coat.
And for a hoot, read Velokovsky!

Oh, and I wanted to vote in the poll - but most go hand-in-hand or are irrelevant to the political process. I fear we have become boring, politically.

Re: What is the most important issue to you regarding the '08 Presidential Elections?

i may not be able to vote but i just want to share my opinion about this thread. global warming has been a threat to us and any person who will be elected in the office will have no choice but to deal with it whether he likes it or not.

what i would consider and hope the politicians would give more importance is the overwhelming problem of illegal immigration or sealing the borders. i am not just referring to the borders from mexico but rather on international borders in general.

i have currently a non-immigrant status after being married to a U.S. citizen. it was a long journey of visa processing and we turned to file 2 both the immigrant and the non-immigrant whichever comes first. and since the non-immigrant came first, i have to file for an adjustment just to become a legal permanent resident here. we went through such difficult and long process and has been away for a year after our marriage. and i haven't mention the fees and recently, they just proposed about 86% increase of such fees. it seems that those of us who are doing the immigration legally are going to pay for all the expense of prosessing the illegals through the system.

whoever will think of granting amnesty to illegal aliens will definitely not get my family's votes. why don't they just send them home and let them file immigration legally.

but that's just my 2 cents...

It just wouldn't be fair to you and so many that have gone through the process legally. There is no better feeling than when you work for something you earned. You learn to appreciate it so much more. I think we all can relate to that if you just remember back when you first got your drivers license.

No Flop, Flipping, LOL Sealing the borders, Jobs, Taxes, freedoms, Honesty, And someone that will bring morals and caring back to the USA as there seems to be a very bad lack there of, over the last 20 years. And getting worse every year.

I really admire the fact that you followed the legal process...however; it's incredibly irritating, frustrating and unfair that so many others are just abusing the system. Sealing our borders is very important to me...I've been labeled as having lack of empathy, compassion, or feelings in general for wanting to elect someone who enforces our laws. Why were the laws made in the first place if no one is going to do anything about them?

I understand that it's a difficult process and expensive to become a citizen. Those who do it the correct way should be rewarded...those who don't should be punished.

I wish you the very best, Jacy...and welcome to the United States of America...it's not perfect, but it's still one of the best places to be, in my opinion.
