The former House speaker said the "war here at home" against illegal immigrants was "more deadly" than the war in Iraq.

WASHINGTON Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Tuesday he is "sickened" that President Bush and Congress went on vacation "while young Americans in our cities are massacred" by illegal immigrants.

Gingrich, who is considering a run for the White House, was referring to the recent execution-style murders of three college students on a school playground in Newark, N.J.

One man whom police believe was involved in the murders -- Jose Lachira Carranza -- is an illegal immigrant from Peru who had been released on bail on charges of raping a child when the murders occurred.

Gingrich said that the "war here at home" against illegal immigrants is "even more deadly than the war in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Many years ago, there was a large group of immigrants who built a small fortress and more-or-less barricaded themselves in - partially for protection from the elements and partially because they really didn't know "what was out there" yet. They weren't versed on the area.
They couldn't make heads or tails out of the plant-life ... didn't know what they could eat and what they couldn't.
They didn't have the equipment or the skills to successfully kill enough of any local wildlife to keep themselves alive.
They very nearly died.
Finally, some "locals" who lived near there found out about them - sent a couple of "scouts" so-to-speak to see what was up ... and without being noticed, the scouts observed them for just long enough to see that they were starving and dying of sickness - they went back and reported this to their leaders.
The leaders talked among themselves and decided that, rather than just run the illegals out or kill them on the spot, they would do the humanitarian thing so, they sent seven emissaries bearing food, blankets and medicine.
The immigrants received the emissaries and the "gifts" with all glad hearts ... then killed the seven emissaries.
It's just so hard to know which is the right way to go - be humane and get killed for it - or kill the invaders. I wrestle with the solution often.
Oh, the "border" the immigrants crossed was the Atlantic shore. The spot they chose to set up camp was called Jamestown - and the "locals" who helped them were people native to the land - what we call Native Americans today.
The immigrants had sailed from England.
Perhaps a telling comparison regarding the difficult choices we face today and how hard it is to trust immigrants regardless of their intentions or needs.

I have to say Americans and America come first, This is are contury not theirs. If they die in the desert comming into are country, Maybe they should have thought about that before they packed their bags.
( then killed the seven emissaries ) They have kill and done many crimes to Americans today. they need to be stoped anyway we can stop them, What ever it takes.

The issue at hand for me is that the US is 100% imigrants. Yes, even the "Indians" either came from the south or the north and settled here.

The difference in todays conversation about imigration is that there are ways to legally become a citizen of the USA. The fact that we allow illegal imigration is not really the fault of the illegals, it's the fault of a country that is not securing their boarder and pursuing those who are not legally here.

I would not want to stand toe to toe with an imigrant who has spent years going through all the whistles and bells to become a citizen after they have been shoved aside for some weak law that would allow illegals to become citizens or at least be able to "legally" live here.

Secure the boarders is first on my list.
