LA Daily News - 1,300 immigrants arrested by feds

In what federal authorities are calling the largest sweep of criminal and
fugitive immigrants, federal agents over the past two weeks have arrested
more than 1,300 Southland immigrants in their homes, in jails and at work,
officials announced Wednesday.

As part of a stepped-up national crackdown on illegal immigrants, five teams
of Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents raided homes in Los Angeles,
Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties from Sept. 19 through
Tuesday.

But even without that charge about 1,200 out of 1,300 did have a criminal record.

We've already got a couple anchor baby's running for President. How about Barrack Obama? His parents were only in the US (Hawaii) for 2 years while they had him and then they scooted back to Jakarta. There's another on, and I can't think of his name right now.

But, it's already happening and because of our current laws, you shouldn't be surprised. Don't have to like it, just shouldn't be surprised.

Well, I for one don't mean it as racist and I would hope it wouldn't offend. I mean it simply as a foreign person having their child in the US so that they have grabbed some sort of right to be here. Doesn't appear to be anything racist as far as I can see.

Just somebody using that as an excuse to cling to hope.

Maybe if we can get the laws changed that the parents have to be legalized or a natrual born citizen to be born here and be one too?

I don't know if it's still this way, but years ago, a good friend of mine became a citizen. It was close. At that time, if the parents became citizens, all children under the age of 12 were naturalized. His parents became citizens and submitted the paperwork for the kids. The paperwork was stamped and signed, when my buddy was only 4 days away from his 12th birthday.

I was in the Air Force.
I'm pretty-much convinced that, when we (the U.S.) set the program rolling that way - we must have been pretty proud of our country and pretty confident of who we could afford to take care of ... and I think we included the parents because we just knew how happy they would be to be able to raise their American son who would enjoy great benefit from being born here ... and they would naturally begin the process to become citizens as well ... and learn the language ... and contribute to the system and raise a fine young American of Mexican heritage.
I'm pretty sure that's how we meant it.
Don't think we need the term "anchor baby" but I don't know what other term they have for the occurrence of the very event we once invited ... and now question.

Arnold cannot be the President, as he is not a Citizen who was BORN here. You have to be a US Born Citizen to run for President. I don't like Arnold. They have tried to weasel stuff to see if they could get that change, however it is set to deep in stone (thank God).

Ok, I want you to goto Google Maps. Look up El Paso TX. Then try to tell me something I don't know. I think most of you think El Paso is like in the center of the country and I have been living under a rock and have no clue what your talking about.

There are more midwives in El Paso than any where else in the country.. they give birth top these illegals river hoppers who want to have their babies in the USA.

Everyone seems to forget that I have been very out spoken about this topic.. to the point some have labeled me a raciest. Even on CD. Now its funny I am being labeled a person who will sell this country to Mexico.. its absurd on either account.

Arnold may make for a good president, He was not born in the USA so if I understand right anyone that is not U.S. born can not run for president. So by changing the law just for him is wrong but the scary part is, Anyone not born in America can run for American president even illegal aliens. Now we are talking scary

You should be more concerned about a NY, or CT Jew (e.g. Bloomberg, or Leiberman respectively) who may hold dual citizenship in Israel, thereby having, by definition, 'split loyalites' and dilluted loyalties to the Unites States of America......few US Jews (in politics or otherwise) don't unequivocally support the nation of Israel, or put it's 'survival' (alleged) ON PAR (or in some cases above), the survival of the United States of America...

I assure you that would have more internationally 'negative' impact on the rest of the citizens of the United States of America, than having an Arnold, Hillary, Mitt, Obama, or even Richardson becoming President of these United States of America.......and we think NOW we have out collective heads up the ass of Israel ?? just wait........we'll be walking aroung the streets of middle America with kevlar on......because we would have allowed ourselves to become 'perceived' as just another lackey for Israeli domination, influence, and jealousy.

Our 'good friends' have become a liability and an albatross.....and have aided in making folks 'in Peoria' a target....

I wouldn't worry too much about guys like Arnold, Richarson, etc.....they are much greater concerns to our global and domestic safety.
