Re: Saddam Video

I was watching the news this morning and they showed a "graphic" image of Saddam's body after the hanging. His neck was obviously broken, but it was blurry and in black and white. It's good to know it's over with.

Yeah, I wish the media would remind people of how wicked he really was and stop making Bush look like Hitler all the time.

Re: Saddam Video

well saddam was a horrible human and deserved to lose his life, but...my problem is saddam was only a threat to his own ppl...Ossama is still running around and that is directly because Bush allowed him to escape. Soooooooo, we are still very much in danger, more then ppl think...and Bush is still waging a useless, verrrrrrrrrrry useless war much as VietNam was.

Sorry Rainbow but Clinton allowed him to escape after he bombed the Trade Center the first time. After 17 UN resolutions later it was time to enforce them. You are right we are still very much in danger as we were in the 90's while the terrorist were plotting and no one was giving them a second thought. Should we have treated Saddam as he was treated in the 90's where no one was giving him a second thought? He was funding terror, he met with Osama and gave money to suicide bombers.

I give credit for Bush for having a backbone but I don't like the way the war is being handled. We need to handle it as we handled WW2. A PC war does not make sense.

9/11 report sites a number of times that Bin Laden (Al Quida) and representatives from Iraq met. Page 61 of the report states Bin Laden was also willing to explore possibilities for cooperation with Iraq. The War resolution included the authorization for the President to take necessary action against terrorist organizations that aided the terrorist attack on 9/11 and against those nations that harbored such persons or organization. I seem to remember a guy named Zarqouwi who belonged to Al Quida that was tracked to Iraq prior to the war. I will try and look for how many Al Quida have been caught and killed in Iraq and post it this week. I no the numbers are high. Now I agree that this war needs to be fought harder and differently but disagree that this war has been useless.

Once it was noted there were no nukes anywhere, we should have pulled out...it was not the iraquis that attacked us...it was not Saddam who ordered 9/11. I know quite a few soldiers and other then helping the iraquis to fight, they have no idea what else they are doing there.

I have four close friends that have kids there and they have a clear understanding of there mission. After seventeen UN resolutions Saddam could of hid his hole country.

I know what they are doing there. They are doing the job that they volunteered to do. We have soldiers sitting all over the world in places with no war going on anymore. We have had soldiers in Japan since the end of World War 2. I don't hear firefighters complaining when they actually have to go put out a fire. Too many people sign up for the military thinking that they will just have to go do basic training then collect their free college tuition.

As i see it, there are 2 reasons to wage a war, one when the country attacked us on our soil...second, when the country threatens to attack us on our soil...Right now all the soldiers are doing is trying to stop the iraquis from killing each other. American soldiers (boys) (girls) are being killed for what? Makes no sense why we are still there.

We have more people being killed in this country by illegal aliens then the people being killed in Iraq and car accidents.
