Driving me crazy

GAH! I can't stop thinking about my relocation in summer 2009. How do I put it the heck outta my head? (BTW, the relocation is most likely to Florida unless I change my mind again!)

Ever since I thought of it in October, it's been on my mind. Not 100% constantly but pretty often. I really want to move, sure, but how do I forget it for now? Or do i keep researching to keep me occupied?

Re: Driving me crazy

You are so young... go enjoy being just that. I can pretty much guess that a lot will happen for you in the next 2 years. You just may feel differently than you do now.

What are all your friends doing with their time?

Re: Driving me crazy

My friends are mostly in sports - not my thing at all. I'm a more solitary person, making this more difficult.

But can't you go just watch? Or mabye help them with fund raising for their teams..things like that. This way you can hang out with them with out being into sprots. It is more about being social.

Re: Driving me crazy

Well, not to be rude or cut off your ideas, but I'm really more of the "loner" type probably because I'm gay. My school is not the most tolerant so I do not trust myself to hold it from friends if I let them get in too closely. If i tell them, and they somehow become enemies, disaster will strike.

I need ways to have fun on my own and not worry about relocating for awhile. My bf is moving here in the summer - that's exciting - but it's not quite enough ATM!

Re: Driving me crazy

is there no gay community where you are? You may be suprised and find some of your school friends there. I know my friends daughter got involved here in Wa and found out other kids from her school were gay and she didn't even know it.

Re: Driving me crazy

I'm sorry to constantly shoot you down - I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORT! - but there really is no gay community here. And even if I did see people from school, believe me it would be far too risky. My school is far from liberal. Even the principal once accidentally let a slur slip.

So, I need new ideas.

Re: Driving me crazy

Well I like to bowl, shop sometimes, etc. Still when I do something like that I'd just be thinking "I wonder what bowling in Florida is like!" LOL I'm a loser.
