Re: The Teacher Movie

Being a teacher by trade, I have to admit, it was pretty moving to watch even though fictional. I had to dab my face several times.

Despite our differences in opinions, I thank you for posting that.

Public school system, secondary (9-12) math and business subjects but was trained for elementary grades too. Only taught for 2-3 years, though. Couldn't take it any longer than that.

I would think it would be hard to teach people that would rather be doing something else
Other than preparing for the futcher.

Rainbow,

Thank you. I've heard some of this before, and it is a reminder of the "small" things in life we can do that make a big impact. Thanks for the reminder.

Re: The Teacher Movie

A really good movie. Makes me think of my three little ones and everything they have been through in their lives. Homeless, abandonment, three generations of drug abuse parents, parents in prison for serious crimes they witnessed, in the foster care system for over a year, separated into two foster homes.

Now they have difficulty cooping in school. The teachers have been great. But they still have trouble fitting in and there have been serious behavioral issues. Teachers do make a big difference to these kids.
