Anyone visit the CT forum on a regular basis? Newcomers want information?

Hi dragonmaster -- I'm a newcomer to this forum -- but I have heard quite a bit about you and your expertise and look forward to visiting this forum. I am a newcomer to Ct. and am still in the process of discovering some of the wonderful things about this state. Thanks to you, I have discovered much and learned a great deal about this beautiful state. Many thanks and lots of luck. R.

firstly welcome to talk states and the CT Forum. I was in fact a moderator at another type of online venue. Thanks for the kind words. Where did you come from and how long here? What part of the state are you located?

I will try and answer any questions you want; from the Arts, recreation to transportation, gardening, cuisine and more.

dm.....Are you familiar with Blantyre? (sp?). A few years ago, we were invited to a spectacular wedding there, and we spent the night. That place was out of a fairytale book. Start to finish, the event lasted over 24 hours, and I remember our room was on the 3rd or 4th floor of the 'castle'.

BB, there is no town or location called 'Blantyre' in the state- there is a Branford, and a North Branford however- was it along the shoreline?

Well, I messed that up in more ways than one, DS ! So sorry!

Blantyre is not a town, but a chalet/bed and breakfast type venue. And, after goggling it, I found it's in Lenox, MA, not CT. I do remember the second night coming home, we stayed in CT, which is where the confusion lies.
I won't post the link here, but will in the MA forum. Again, sorry!

Lenox Mass and vicinity is indeed a very beautiful area-

Eastern CT is also very pleasant- called the 'Quiet Corner' with many Inns B & B's, museums, winery's, small charming towns- and close to coastal beaches.

Next time in CT- check it out- and ask me for additional information.
