Tell Me About Connecticut

We have considered moving to New England after we are done with our World travels (different thread) and I would like to know about Connecticut. I really do not know much about it.

We are very liberal in our political views, but get along with most people as long as politics are not brought up. We are into outdoor activities; skiing, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, etc.

What is there to do in Connecticut, types of jobs, weather, etc?

Also, do you have photos that you could share? I am sure I could google them, but would like to see some from someone who actually lives there and knows the area.

Connecticut is more liberal then Oregon- in the 2008 election Obama won the state by 23%, compared to about 16% in Oregon- not allot really--

There is gay marriage here- and the first signs of universal health care under the Charter Oak Plan-

there are no republican representatives here from the US house.

Climate here is a cross between humid continental (north of I 84) and humid subtropical, south of I 84-

The states is renowned for its culture & arts-- and close to New York & Boston.
