Bethany Beach Delaware

Seems to me that most of delaware is farmland and that much of the beachfront to the atlantic is unihabited. I see that Bethany Beach Delaware seems to be the exception. Is this the states hot spot for fun and recreation?

I think it is. I've been there.

Delaware has a long (for the size) coastline with beaches. Yes, (s)lower Delaware is largely farmland, and often different in character to the more urban New Castle county in the north.

There are a number of beaches, Bethany is one of them. There is also South Bethany, Rehobeth - which is just as popular, Lewes (pronounced with 2 syllables), Dewey, Fenwick Island.. and you barely notice crossing the line to MD with all the Eastern Shore beaches (particularly Ocean City).

(s)lower delaware? Are we talking pace, or are we talking IQ?

There are some who would say.. both.

BTW, there's actually very little undeveloped coastal land along the eastern seaboard - the developers are seeing to that. There was some little trailer park somewhere on the Eastern Shore (that includes DE, MD & VA - the DelMarVa peninsula) where some developers offered each owner $1M to sell their lot, if the whole park would agree. They did. The developers are putting in condos that will start at about $3M each.

I have been to Dewey, Bethany, Rehobeth and Ocean City growing up. Good times.

lol! me neither - I hate the crowds and I'm not really an ocean sort, I like the mountains better (Del has none of those).

Actually, Delaware is not considered NE at all. It's mid-atlantic. what state are you from?
