| im thinking of moving to dc but keep hearing how expensive it is. im pretty poor,...
...(drive a bus) is it doable? also i am single, and don't plan on roommates. i don't need the "best neighborhood" just don't want to be bothered too much, like crack heads knocking on my door asking for money at 2a.m. i use that as an example because i know thats what happens in some areas where i live. any advice would be helpful thanks.

Why DC? There are excelent surrounding areas with good public transportation.
