Very very scary. We were ok. That's one reason we are leaving Florida.

cotero3 lives in Pasco County which is where one of the tornados touched down. I hope it was far away from her home.

Re: Florida

Thank you T.S. and everybody.... I am perfectly fine... some houses were damaged about 35 minutes away... which is a lot farther than a tornado hit in Wisconsin when I lived there... I believe that there can be storms and dangers everywhere on this planet.

I still LOVE Florida... and I wouldn't trade it for anyplace else at the moment.

Cheryl :)

Good to know that it was far enough away. There was tornados every year in Minnesota when I lived there too, but we were never hit by one.

Re: Florida Tornados

I never knew Florida was susceptible to them really, except for the dumb city-data "Tornado...it is 96% greater then the US average" blah blah, well, how often does FL get tornados?

Geez, it's making me want to reconsider it, but I do really like Florida, and would like to relocate there in 2009 (unless my desire for snow overweights Florida).
