How do I convince my husband to move to Florida?

I was born in Florida, and now I live in Maine. I have been with him for 8 yrs, 2 of them married. He has always known that I want to move back, but I have been hesitant because of family up here. But now I am completely fed up with the snow and cold and just plain miserable conditions of the long winters here. Even the summers can be less than desirable. I have family in Florida too, so I am ready to make the move. I have been very unhappy with my life right now, partly because the weather is always so miserable, I can't get out and do anything. I have had S.A.D. ("winter blues disorder") since I moved up here, and I think I just need to move back so I can be a happy person all year long. I really love my husband, and I really want him to want to see how it would be good for both of us. At the same time, I feel that I need to move no matter what...I can't live half my life (winter months) unhappy-I've only got one life to live. I feel very torn. Help!

you need to tell him how unhappy the cold makes you and how happy he makes then how happy florida makes you and happy you would be if you had both!

p.s:i live in Boca and LOVE florida! i cant imagine living in the cold!

you shouldn't have married him then.

Why not just take a trip for now and go. if you refuse to come back to him, maybe he'll come down and see why!

If he can make a living down in Florida as well as you then take that trip to show him around. The payscale is much different than the northeast. Yes, the weather can be great but he just may get sick of the heat and same weather all the time. The best thing to do is come down for a few weeks and check out the job market and homes. He may like it or not.
