Not a Bad Experience in Miami

On March 25th 2008, I was with a tour group travelling to the keys when we in fact flew into Miami international airport. The airport was actually pretty nice; carpets were clean, the staff was friendly and we all got our bags. After picking up the rental vehicles, we drove around for a while and took a nice stopover at the Dolphin Mall. Although I did not eat anything there (both burger king and mc donald's were packed), the mall was really cool. Neat shops, a cool food court, a boat room with neat looking boats for sale, and most people were quite nice too, though (as expected) a good sized portion of the people there spoke spanish. Pretty much the only problem; my group and I did wait about an hour or so for our rental vehicles.

Nice to hear you had a good day in Miami. I used to live in the area and spent a lot of time in Miami, at MU, at Miami Beach, in the Keys (Largo & Ohio) and the Glades.
Of course, they didn't even hardly have malls yet when I spent my time there. Still, somehow your post struck me nostalgic

Yea i have found that pleasant experiences at the airport often set the town for a pleasant trip, and vise versa.

That area is actually more Doral than Miami.

I have been to the s florida area 3 times allready and I am totally in love with it.
