I seem to be missing live feed. There is a new post thingy that is confusing me a bit... admin have you been playing around again?

Yeah, I upgraded the forum software and reset the navbar back to default in the process.

I will get the link back up there soon.

The "forum" tab also seems to be missing. Could you also fix the top left Talkstates logo to link to www.talkstates.com :)

Just curious. I really know nothing about this company such as when and who started it and why there seemed to have been many more participants at one time but now just seems to be a handful? There is no reason why this couldn't be a very popular site. Hope you don't mind my asking.

When the site first started many folks came from CD for their own reasons. This site was started with those folks who wanted a place where censorship and moderators were not heavy handed. In fact in the beginning there was no censorship or moderators.

There were trolls who came to disrupt and destroy...for whatever reason. Those who wanted this site to be successful and productive drew the line in the sand with the trolls. Battles flew...ugliness reared it's head and many left and didn't want to be a part of that.

Admin...after receiving many request... posted rules and added moderators from the folks who were here from the beginning. But it was late in the day and many good folks left and didn't come back.

Those of us left enjoy the conversations and the interesting company. We do get busy with our own lives and sometimes disappear for a few days or weeks. But we always come back. This place feels like a good neighborhood. CD feels like a sea of people and it gets a bit hard to connect with real people.
