can we use Craigslist?

With all the craze of people using craigslist, I was wondering about posting invitations on craigslist for people to come join.

I got pretty confused when I was rolling through the site as to what is allowed. So, any craigslist junkies out there?

Here is what I am trying to figure out. Posting a link like a commercial business is allowed in the services area. That's a no brainer.

We, however, are really not a commercial business. Or are we? (admin?) so:

There are areas in each craigslist city for vollunteer opportunities, and a bunch of real estate sections. Can we post in there that our site is available for free membership and getting and giving answers about a city or state and have a link or reference to talkstates?

If so, we have a new means to get new members! If not...

I think craigslist users would probably flag it as spam.

If you advertise a site on CL they will eventually delete it. But you can pay to put it on there in some section. I know if you want to post a work wanted type of post you have to pay.
