Classified Section

Are we going to get a Classified section, so I can officially mention
(IF BY CHANCE) I had a house for sale???? :)

(ooooopps.. am I in time-out for asking????)
Just kidding about the "time-out" part.

Yeah, I think the classified section should have a state-by-state breakdown, too (City-Data doesn't, right?). If you want to find a house for sale in MI, I don't want to sift through a bunch of classfied ads from other locations just to find waht I'm looking for.

I will look more into a classified section in the next few days after I get the board switched over to vBulletin. I will probably make it happen. I know that Cheryl there can't wait to put up an ad for her house.

You can put your ad on www.craigslist.org It's divided by state and city/surrounding area. It's even got sections for other countries, if that floats your boat.

I used it once to get rid of a carseat. Another time I searched it for a place to rent. It's got good stuff.

edit to add: P.S. -it annonymizes your e-mail, so people responding don't know what your e-mail is! And there's no need to decide on a username.

It was requested a couple months ago and is still in the plans. I am still trying to decide if I just want to make it just another forum section with normal posts or try to do something different. I will try to get around to it soon.

You can go ahead and start posting your home sales here.

Try to put your state code at the beginning of the thread title and your state name and city as tags to help with organization. "FL - House for sale" as an example for a title, "florida, kissimmee" as an example for tags, add more tags if you think that they are keyworks relevant to your thread.

I will still be looking into a better classified system once there is some extra money in the budget for this site, right now we are still in the negative.
