Exclamation So, this is really interesting... um, admin??

So scirocco22 was here, posting with us.... on the "black" thread. He's not said anything more offensive than anything anyone else has said. In fact, he has been quite offended (and attacked) on several points that have come up.

He received an email from someone on this board - defending Rainbowwaves. His email is not visable on his profile, nor is it possible to email him via his profile.

He's now locked out of the forums and can't log in at all.

I thought this was a low moderated, or rather "self" moderated board.

Why is he now locked out of the site?

The rules say no porn or nudity.

Missed that one.

Everybody should remove Avatars of their pets unless they are properly dressed.

Just kidding!

What are you talking about? He has never been locked out by me. If he was having access problems, they were on his side.

Okay, I'm back. Yeah, I don't know who's side it was on but I tried maybe 10 times in a 10 minute period and I couldn't get logged on.

Did you try clicking your heels together and saying "There's no place like Talkstates, there's no place like Talkstates......"

Admin...should there be another area for racism to be discussed. It seems to be leaking into all the other threads. Some folks are so stuck on the subject that they are commenting on it in everything they post.

Give them an area and let them take it there...I can see discussing it in one area. But please it is getting old taking it to other threads.

Re: So, this is really interesting... um, admin??

Seems like folks are stuck on lots of things, that it bleeds into other topics. I can site examples, as I am sure you can.

'Tis the nature of the messageboard - especially one that goes unmoderated.

Shall we create forums for every single topic under the sun? And give everyone moderator privledges, so we can truly "police" ourselves?

Then, let's make a "Jenbar" forum - and direct everyone else to take their questions, direct insults, and thinly veiled snark and allegations there. :) It does get tiring having to search for it through out the rest of the board.

This one will not go unmoderated, just less moderated than another popular site.

Re: So, this is really interesting... um, admin??

All flame wars and heated discussions on message boards fissle out. As long as the discussion carries on, there is obviously interest in it, and as long as there are no threats made or other TOS violations, we should be able to police it ourselves just fine.

Just wait until election time. Talk about heated discussions and a long thread with lots of anger and insults..... I am counting down the days....

If you don’t like that then watch as long as there is no swearing I think kids could learn something just my opinion.
