My wife orders from the Burpee catalog. She likes their stuff.

Re: Good catalogs?

I went to the websites and ordered the new catalogs. I love to garden and can't wait to begin.

Re: Good catalogs?

Enjoy !!!

There is a website for EarthBoxes, a type of container gardening. They also have a forum. You might enjoy learning about them.

I belong to several garden forums including the EB forum.

I really love roses, but they are a lot of trouble.

Re: Good catalogs?

I gave up on ordering from catalogs. Seems everything dies. I go to Walmart and take pleasure in buying any kind of sick plant for $1 or less, then nursing it to a blooming surprise! Don't know why I get such a kick out of that, but I do.....guess it's the mother in me!

Re: Good catalogs?

I know, I know. Above, I said I don't order from catalogs anymore. But, I did get an interesting catalog in the mail today - Stark Bro's. That really sparked my interest with all the photos of apples, peaches, nuts and berries. I do know, though, that perfect photography and presentation are key to selling this stuff. But, I can dream while it's cold outside. There's even a recipe in there for Strawberries with Lime Dipping Sauce:
8 oz. sour cream
2 tablespoons 10x sugar
2 teaspoons finely shredded lime peel
1 tablespoon lime juice
3 cups small strawberries
Leave stems on washed berries and dip away
