I have no photos. Will give you one quick visual though - should keep you for a while .... : imagine, if you will, a black spider as big as a Fiat!!!
My son has a RaraTongan name that was given to him by the "Queen" of RaraTonga - who I knew in the states and even babysat her younger son - who is/was the crown prince of that island. Don't remember the word - didn't put it on his birthcert - but it means "Long Ocean".
The only doings I recall of late was the Survivor series in the Cook Islands.

I guess I would have to say the mountains of Pennsylvania. That is why we moved here. I love the diversity of the area and love the views. My second choice would probably be on a cruise to the Eastern Carribean.

We have some pictures, but they're in an album in a box somewhere... that was 14 years ago. We had no troubles at all on our trip. We only went to Rarotonga (the "big island" of the Cooks). The east side of the island has prettier beaches, but the snorkeling is better on the west side.

At least at the time, they couldn't brew a decent cup of coffee to save their souls, though. We were very glad we'd taken a little cone filter and a bag of ground coffee. And we wished we'd brought more of those mosquito repellent things, the spirals you burn to keep skeeters away. Those trifles aside, we had a wonderful time.

The closest thing to controversy while we were there was an international rugby match between the All Blacks (New Zealand national team) and the Wallabies (Australia). The tourist bars were full of folks from both countries loudly cheering on their respective sides. We were clueless Americans in the midst of that chaos. Not dangerous at all, but an unusual experience.

Oh I dunno, Jabem - I've been around Aussies and Zealanders together - I don't think you were all that safe at all! Even their fun sometimes requires bloody stubs!
