| House market prices across US in spring 07
Okay, Why don't each of us find out what the medium size house in a decent neighborhood (not the ritz) is going for in our area...currently. And post it. I just had a comp. done on my home which falls in the description. Valley Springs, CA Central California Foothills 1600 sq. ft. .5 acre. (average home here is on .5 acre) 12 years old 3 BR, 2 BA, with den. $350,000. Mar. 07 Last year was appraised at $400,000. Your turn everyone. Useful info. for folks, don't you think? Izzy

Sounds similar to Portland prices right now, except that ours keep going up. If you had a 1/2 acre lot in Portland, it would actually be worth more because everyone is subdividing everything. we live in a R2.5 zoning area. That means that the minumum lot size is 2500 sq ft (25 x 100). They are building these butt ugly skinny houses that are 15 feet wide and that includes a single car garage. Waste of space as you can get more if it was built as a row house. They are also tearing down good houses and building lots of these skinny houses.
