The Dow Hits a Landmark: 12,000

The Dow Jones industrial average, the widely watched stock market index -- crossed over the 12,000 mark briefly for the first time in its 110-year history today.

What does this mean in our current situation? (Iraq war, Oil prices, slow home sales market, etc)

Well I think it will be good if it makes a significant push past the 12,000 mark. If it just sits around 12,000 and goes down again, it probably won't have much effect on anything. Just my two cents.
