Re: Here's the next Pres!!!

Are you serious or being funny? I really can't tell. All I can say is... "Rudy Giuliani?!"

I've got a good one: "Al Gore- Four more years!"

Actually, I was listening to Al Gore on the radio last night, he speaks very well. He seems to know how to hammer the seriousness of an issue without sounding alarmist or like a doomsayer. And he speaks like he's really studied up on this stuff and knows what he's talking about, and he puts things so well... I don't get the "Ya, ya, I've heard this all before" feeling. I was impressed. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He was talking about wiretapping and such.

Oh i am quite serious..considering the choices...think about who's running? Then you'll see he is the one and only choice.

Was he talking about the wiretapping that him and Bill Clinton were doing while they were in office?

Haven't heard of that. Do you have an info?

Re: Here's the next Pres!!!

If Americans are most concerned about the Iraq situation, which I think is the case, Giuliani would definitely be a good choice...in my opinion. He's definitely a little more liberal regarding abortion and some other conservative issues, but we really need to address the MAJOR situations at this point...Iraq and our borders. I've heard rumors that Guiliani is supposedly a little bit lax when it comes to illegal aliens...which really doesn't make sense.

Anyone know for sure what his views are on our borders?

Re: Here's the next Pres!!!

If Rudy is chosen as the republican nominee, I will vote for him. Maybe I'm just an optimist, but I really think that Romney might have a chance. He has a very good record, no scandals (that we know of which is always a bonus) and has American interests at heart.

Rainbow...I have to mention this, though...Rudy is supporting the President totally regarding the 20,000 new troops. He was on Fox News last night and said that he handled crime in New York in the same fashion. He also had a very low approval rating until his plan actually succeeded and people respected him for standing his ground. If he will be very tough on the illegal immigrant situation...he has my vote. I love it...we found some common ground. Warm fuzzies, man...I'm telling you!

Yes, i know that...altho i am so against this war and sending more troops there, Rudy is the only choice for some kind of backbone and substance to run a country. One of the reasons Bush hasn't done what is needed to be done about illegals is because his Brother Jeb is married to a hispanic woman and speaks, eats and breathes spanish..if were up to him, english would be the second language here.

You have to listen to other news sources besides the liberal media to get information.

Have you heard of Sandy Burglar and the classified documents to stole and shoved in his pants?

I don't know, It is still to early in the game for me to throw support around. The first debates are April 4th and 5th here in NH I will wait for those to see where all stand and who is actually in the running. The issues are still being placed and I refuse to support 1 just because I think he can will. I would rather support a looser I agree with than A winner I don't.

Re: Here's the next Pres!!!

I've never looked at Rudy as a serious candidate. Not that I know a lot about him 'cause really, I don't but he reminds me of Carter in that he seems a nice guy with good idees but not striking me as a great "front man".
Romney would scare the pants off me - only because he's Mormon. I like a lot of Mormon (LDS) folks - but I wouldn't want any of them in charge - partly 'cause of the same flap over JFK and folks fearing that the pope would be in charge. I've lived and still live behind the zion-curtain. Nope. Uh-Uh.
Gore is really smart and really tuned in to the reality most of us don't see - but again, not a good front-man.
Hill-Billery??? homina-homina-homina - don't think so.
McCain? Absolutely not in a billion years!
Obama - well, maybe for a game of chess but not in charge of my world.
Who've I got left? The survivors of the original cast of SNL?

That Does him In I will not support anyone that agrees with the Assault wepons ban or brady bill as they are writen. I have a 30-06 riffle that is considered a assult riffle by the ban. It holds a whole 6 rounds and it's a bolt action. But still defined as an asult weapon by these 2 things.

That's right...That's why there's only one choice and fortunately it's a good one...If one can run NY effectively then may be the world! LOL...

Re: Here's the next Pres!!!

I have a feeling I might bow out on voting next time around - with all that's been going on the last several years, I just don't think I can pull an "R" while I'm hanging my chad - no offense to the "R"tsters out there - and really, running NYC - good or bad - prepares one I'm sure for ... say ... running a pirate-ship and a group of pirates but a gigantic, cross-sectioned America? I'm not so sure. I'll get into this stuff in several more months - so long as I don't have to debate Texans - but for now ... well shucks, where's John Belushi when you need him?

Really. I lived in so. FL - waaaay south. Dove the keys regular, air-boated the glades, fished the "alley", went deep-sea out of King's Bay, swam with manatees in the waterway. Loved it but moved to MI with my job (yep, had a job). Wish I was current on the area but ain't. If you get to Florida City, let me know if they still have a "Carolina HotDogs" joint. If you're on the gulf coast, I have an old "friend" around Marcos Is.

Ahhh - betcha have a good view of the space-shots! Lived in West Palm a little while myself. Saw Jimmy Buffet at the "Cock 'N Bull" before his 1st album was out (I think). Can't recall the street name - little strip-mall on a side-street south of the bigger strip-mall with a cadillac dealership.

Nah, we need all ideas floating around out there. If it were not for the Kucinichs and Naders and Perots talking about issues that the front runners won't touch, we'd be doomed.
